THE LLAMA, IN SOUTH AMERICA

Hi guys! The second animal we are going to see is the llama (Lama glama). It is a mammal of the family domestic artiodactyl and you can find it in the Puna or Altiplano of the Andes of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.

It was created by the Andean natives by artificial selection from wild guanacos who were domesticated.

It was maximized by the Inca empire: it was used as animal sacrifices, meat and wool was obtained from it, and was taken as a pack animal.

So children, if you want you can invent a story about this beautiful animal!
